Privacy Policy
How Just Breathe Now handles information when you use our breathing app or website. Includes our data retention policy and data deletion process.
Last updated: 29/07/2026
Welcome to Just Breathe Now.
Your calm is our craft — and your privacy is part of that calm.
This privacy policy explains how Just Breathe Now (“Just Breathe”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website (justbreathenow.app) and our mobile applications on iOS and Android. The mobile apps do not gather personal user data and do not send your breathing sessions, preferences, or notes to our servers.
1. Controller contact details
Just Breathe
Email: hello@bifrostbridge.studio
If you have any questions, reach out; we're friendly and quick to reply.
2. What data we collect
Mobile apps (iOS and Android): We do not collect, transmit, or store personal user data on our servers. Settings you choose in the app (for example breathing pattern, visual style, sound preferences, and onboarding flags) stay only on your device using on-device storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not receive your breathing session content.
Website (justbreathenow.app): To understand general traffic, we use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (for example aggregated page views and approximate device type). These metrics are not used to build a personal profile of you.
We do not collect:
- Cookies used for advertising or cross-site tracking
- Advertising identifiers
- Personal data such as name, email, or phone for app use
- Location data
- Biometrics
- Breathing session audio, video, or notes from the mobile apps
- Any data that would allow us to single you out as an individual from app use
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message.
3. How we use the data
On-device app settings are used only to run the app the way you configured it.
Website analytics help us understand which pages are visited and improve the site.
Support emails are used only to reply to your request.
We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not run ads in the apps. We do not sell or share personal user data.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies:
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for minimal, aggregated website analytics needed to maintain and improve the service.
- Contract / steps prior to contract or legitimate interest when you contact us and we need to respond.
Because the mobile apps do not collect personal data on our servers, most GDPR processing obligations for app use do not arise.
5. Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for behavioral advertising.
Our website analytics are intended to be cookieless. There is no advertising identifier stored by us for cross-site tracking.
6. Third-party services
Website hosting and cookieless analytics may be provided by infrastructure providers (for example our website host and privacy-focused analytics tools). They process aggregated or operational data on our behalf to deliver the site.
The mobile apps do not embed advertising or analytics SDKs that send personal user data to us.
We do not share personal information from app use with third parties — because we do not collect it.
7. Mobile app permissions
Depending on your device and features you use, the app may use:
- Haptics / vibration — for breathing guidance cues
- Optional notifications — only if you enable reminders on a build that supports them
- Local on-device storage — for your preferences
These stay on your device unless you choose to contact us separately (for example by email).
8. Data retention
We do not store or retain personal user data from the Just Breathe Now mobile apps on our servers.
Data retention practices in detail:
- Mobile app preferences and any local notes: retained only on your device until you clear the app storage or uninstall the app. We do not retain a copy.
- Website aggregated analytics: retained only as anonymized or aggregated traffic statistics by our analytics/hosting providers according to their standard retention windows. These statistics are not linked to an identifiable user profile we maintain.
- Support emails you send us: retained only as long as needed to respond and handle your request (typically up to 12 months), then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law.
9. Data deletion
How to delete data stored on your device:
- Android: Settings → Apps → Just Breathe → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. That permanently removes locally stored preferences from that device.
- iOS: Delete the app from your device. That removes locally stored preferences from that device.
How to submit a data deletion request for anything we may hold (for example a support email you sent):
1. Email hello@bifrostbridge.studio
2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
3. Tell us which email address or details we should look for
We will confirm and delete any personal data we hold related to your request within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it. Because the mobile apps do not upload personal user data to us, there is normally no server-side app account or session data for us to delete.
Just Breathe Now does not offer account registration. There is therefore no in-app account deletion flow; the process above is how you request deletion of any data associated with you.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact hello@bifrostbridge.studio. We will respond promptly.
11. Children's privacy
Just Breathe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The mobile apps do not collect personal data on our servers.
12. Data security
We use encrypted hosting and HTTPS for the website, and we keep data collection minimal. Not collecting personal app data on our servers substantially reduces risk.
13. International transfers
If website hosting or analytics involve international transfers, they are limited to aggregated or operational data needed to run the site and are handled under applicable data-protection safeguards. The mobile apps do not transfer personal user data to our servers.
14. Updates to this policy
